Press conference: Launch of ENAR’s 2011-2012 Shadow Report on racism in Europe

The European Network Against Racism (ENAR) is launching the 2011/12 edition of its ‘Shadow Report on racism in Europe’, ahead of International Day Against Racism and Discrimination on 21 March.


The report identifies communities that are vulnerable to racism and presents an overview of the manifestations of racism evident in employment, housing, education, health, access to goods and services, criminal justice, and the media, as well as legal and political developments. This year, the report highlights in particular the experiences of Muslim communities and is the first pan-European qualitative survey of discrimination against Muslims and Islamophobia.
