Conference rooms The Résidence Palace has three conference rooms: the largest is the Polak Room, which can accommodate an audience of 143 and six speakers. This room is permanently fitted out with conference facilities. Every seat has its own microphone (for speaking), headphones (for listening to the interpreters) and a special jack (for hooking up recorders to tape the proceedings). There are four interpreting booths, each of which can hold two interpreters.
The Passage Room and Maelbeek Room are smaller, with space for between 25 and 40 and 25 and 56 listeners respectively, depending on how the (removable) seating is set up. Both rooms can accommodate four speakers The Passage Room has one interpreting booth, the Maelbeek Room two. Since the Polak Room and Passage Room open up into each other, they can be used together whenever an audience of more than 143 is expected.
Lastly, there is the Club, a private room in the restaurant capable of accommodating up to 20 individuals and perfect for private meetings and luncheons.
All in all, four rooms are available and they can be used in five different ways.
